  Corrosion



Corrosion

   The dissolving and wearing away of metal caused by a chemical reaction such as between water and the lead pipes or solder in a home's plumbing.

Lead
Lead is an element that was once used as a pigment and drying agent in paint. An elevated level of lead in the body can cause serious damage to the brain, nervous system, kidneys and red blood cells.
