Down spouts

   A vertical gutter that empties water from the roof to the ground.

Gutter
A channel at and running the length of the eaves of a building which carries off rain water, usually by means of downspouts.

A drain pipe or similar conduit to allow water to flow from the rain gutter at the edge of the roof to the ground.

The portion of a home's purchase price that is paid in cash and is not part of the mortgage loan.

DOWNREIT
An organizational structure that makes it possible for REITs to buy properties using partnership units. The effect is the same as an UPREIT, however, the DOWNREIT is subordinate to the REIT itself, hence the name.
