  Exclusive listing



Exclusive listing

   A written contract that gives a licensed real estate agent the exclusive right to sell a property for a specified time.

Contract
A legal agreement between entities that requires each to conduct (or refrain from conducting) certain activities.

The ownership interest of a person in real property, also used to refer to a deceased person's property.

Person authorized to act on behalf of another in dealings with third parties.

A contract providing for the exclusive representation of a buyer by a broker. It authorizes a broker to act as the exclusive agent of the buyer.

Exclusive buyer agency agreement
This is a completely exclusive agency agreement. The buyer is legally bound to compensate the agent whenever the buyer purchases a property of the type described in the contract.

Exclusive buyer representation
An agency relationship between a buyer and a broker that cannot result in dual agency.

Exclusive right of sale listing
A written agreement between an agent and a property owner stating that the owner will pay a commission to the agent if the property is sold during a specific time period.

Exclusive right to sell
Listing agreement under which the owner promises to pay a commission if the property is sold during the listing period by anyone, even the owner.

Exclusivity
A restriction on the tenant's right to open a competing retail outlet within a certain area of leased premises.
