  Sublease



Sublease

   A lease given by a lessee for a portion of the leasehold interest, while the lessee retains some reversionary interest.

Lease
A contract whereby the landlord grants the tenant the right to occupy defined space for a set period at a specific price (i.e., rent).

Lessee
An individual (i.e., tenant) to whom property is rented under a lease.

Leasehold
The estate or interest a tenant has as stated in the tenant's lease.

Interest
Money paid to a lender as compensation for money that is borrowed.

A person or identity to whom the rights of use and occupancy under a lease have been conveyed, while the original lessee retains primary responsibility for the obligations of the lease.

Sublet

Any mortgage or other lien that has a priority that is lower than that of the first mortgage.
