Tort

   A wrongful act or violation of a legal right for which a civil action will lie.

Act, condition, or deed that violates the permissible use of property.

A written document, properly witnessed, providing for the transfer of title to property owned by the deceased, called the testator.

Torrens system
A method of evidencing title by registration with the proper public authority, generally called the registrar, named for its founder, Sir Robert Torrens, an Australian who developed the system in 1857. Torrens took the idea from the system of registering title to shipping vessels. It is also popular in Canada, Australia and Great Britain.

Tort

Total acres
All land area contained within a real estate investment.

Total assets
The sum of all gross investments, cash and equivalents, receivables, and other assets presented on the balance sheet.

Total commitment
The full mortgage loan amount that is obligated to be funded if all stated conditions are met.

Total expense ratio
The percentage of monthly debt payments compared to total before-tax income.

Total inventory
The total square footage of a type of property within a geographical area, whether vacant or occupied.
